Hi, I'm Mathijs de Jong

My name is Mathijs de Jong, a 21-year-old photographer full of passion and energy. In May 2018, more than 7 years ago I decided to save up for my first camera, which... quickly turned out to be a great choice as I had found what I liked to do most and luckily still do!

You can find me in different types of photography, mainly music events and lifestyle portraits. What I enjoy most is my passions for photography and music, I prefer to capture the energy, emotions and beautiful moments with a story, not just the story behind it, but also that it is a story-telling photo; you look at it and get a certain feeling about it.

The same goes for my portrait/lifestyle photography, why do I call it 'lifestyle'? A portrait is more like a photo, I capture the person in his/her lifestyle. Which can vary from barber, chef, to DJ... So really everything. I bring the character of the the person in question and would like to come forward, so that it is more personal and sincere.
